Laugh, Just Laugh
In my mind I:
Hear the laughter of an innocent baby enjoying life.
Hear the laughter of a happy preschooler experiencing joy.
Hear the laughter of an awkward teenager trying to figure carve out their own understanding of irony or sarcasm.
Hear the laughter of
the wise elder who knows not to take anything too seriously.
Laughter, at every age and stage of life, is simply the spirit of God reminding us to enjoy this experience of being human. Laughter, even the awkward kind, is the wisdom of God nudging us to remember whatever is happening now is fleeting.
So, I accept laughter as a part of my human nature and equally an expression
of my divine nature.
I command myself to:
Laugh! Just laugh at the ups and downs of life.
Laugh! Just laugh at the silly mistakes I make.
Laugh! Just laugh at the way I forget my divinity.
Laugh! Just laugh at the way I criticize my humanity.
Laugh! Just laugh at my thinking that I can ever
be separated from God.
Laugh! Just laugh at giving illness power to define me.
Laugh! Just laugh at how often I forget every person is Divine
I command myself to laugh.
and then return to faith.
How grateful I am for the ability to laugh, the willingness to laugh, and the wisdom to laugh.
My laughter reflects my faith in the spiritual Law that is always moving forward. The Power and the Presence of Perfect Unfolding is in charge now.
And So It Is.
And It Is So.
