I Have a Dream
Honoring the life and service of Martin Luther King Jr. today.
Born: January 15, 1929, Atlanta, GA
Assassinated: April 4, 1968, Memphis, TN
I know there is an eternal, ever-present Life that creates all forms of life from itself. It creates the strong and the meek. It creates the mountain and the molehill. It creates the large and the small. It creates the rivers and the oceans. It is an all-powerful expression that demands nothing in return from Its creations. It experiences and explores
life through all It creates.
I have been made from and by this Source. Its nature is my true, essential nature. I cannot be separated from my Source because It is expressing as me.
I have a dream and it is my responsibility to live in alignment with it. My commitment to service is strong because it represents the self-givingness of Spirit operating within me and through me. I am strong when I need to be strong; I never take my eye off the prize. I move in a methodical and strategic manner toward my goal: to contribute to making the world better that it was when I joined it. No one owes me anything: not my
parents, my friends, my boss, my neighbor, my elected officials, my enemies. No one owes me anything. I accept my responsibility to do what I say I will do and to choose my priorities based on my commitment to live a God-directed life. I accept the rewards of being guided, guarded and directed by an internal wisdom beyond my human capability.
I remember the walk of Martin Luther King, Jr and recognize every single person, including me, has a dream implanted deeply within. Now is the time for me to live my dream. Now is the time for me to honor the dreams of each person I know. Now is the time to recognize my talents and to use them for good. I am not arrogant; I am just self-aware and willing to use that awareness to create good outcomes for myself and for others. The proof is in what I do and what
I deliver, not in empty words or promised actions. I am ready now, to allow all the Godness to show up through my daily actions. Let my life be my offering to the eternal expression and evolution of Good.
I breathe a breath of gratitude. I am grateful to live at a time when I can have big dreams. I am grateful
to live during a time when technology can support my journey toward my dream. I am grateful to know that I can only be limited by my own doubts, my own fears, my own refusal to believe how great I am. And I am grateful to recognize now is the time for me to show up and show out!
Old stories … gone. False beliefs …
released. I surrender now into the wholly holy path. These words and this prayer are now in the power and the presence of spiritual law. It is done.
Amen. And So It Is!
